OUR STORY
What started as a simple dream — baking at home and sharing with friends — grew into our biggest adventure yet: a bakery on wheels serving the North Shore of Oʻahu. We believe good food brings people together, and every baked good is made with heart and aloha.
We’re Trent and La Rue, the husband-and-wife team behind The Roaming Bakery. Our story began in our small home kitchen, where late-night dough mixing, recipe testing, and weekend bake sessions became a grounding rhythm for our family. Over time, what started as a hobby turned into a calling: to share simple, honest treats made with ingredients we feel good about.
Because we wanted a bakery that could move with us. One that could serve the different corners of the North Shore and bring freshly baked goods to our community without needing a storefront. Our little van lets us do that with freedom and joy.
why “the roaming bakery”?
For us, baking is more than a hobby — it’s how we express care. It’s the smell that fills our home on slow mornings, the way we unwind after a long day, and the love language we share with friends and family. It’s also how we stay connected to our roots: simple ingredients, done well, made with patience and heart.
what baking means to us
As we grow, our goal is to bring more treats to more neighborhoods on the North Shore, offer seasonal specials, and gently expand our menu alongside our community.
Baking is our way of slowing down, connecting, and offering comfort — and we hope each bake brings that same warmth into your home.
